Holiday decorations in the kitchen have definitely become a thing! With today's open concept floor plans, many people have kitchens and great rooms that mesh into one large living space. I for one am a fan of this because the kitchen is where I spend so much of my time. You can pretty much decorate anything standing still from light fixtures, to your hood, countertops, cabinet doors, windows, chairs, barstools and even have your very own kitchen tree. I rounded up some fun inspiration images to help get your creative juices flowing.
I love the look of greenery placed over the kitchen hood! I would recommend using false greenery though because the the last thing you want is to have pine accents in your food...
Hanging wreaths on backs of barstools is definitely a thing but when I saw this photo with just a simple twig of greenery it really caught my eye. This seems simple enough to do, super inexpensive and the greenery could easily be replaced as needed. Love the little countertop tree in a woven basket with mugs too!
A hot cocoa station is a great idea this time of year and lot of fun for the kiddos. They deserve to have fancy beverages too! There are many ways to accomplish this but look for a small cubby or spot in your kitchen where you could prop up a hot cocoa or sweet treats sign. Add a tray or basket with your favorite holiday mugs, chocolates, candy canes, marshmallows, a little greenery and just like that you're a festive barista! Mason jars with LED lights would also add to the fun.
