Nothing excites me more than focusing my work on coaching homeowners through the kitchen remodel process! 🥂

 

After more than 25 years in the home furnishings and kitchen design industry, I’ve seen what truly makes a remodel successful — and where things often go wrong.

 

Early on, my career working for North Carolina furniture and textile companies gave me a strong foundation in materials, craftsmanship, and quality.  After opening an interior design business in 2003, I worked with a custom builder to superintend the construction of a million-dollar home — an experience that gave me invaluable insight into construction timing, sequencing, and real-world project execution.

From there, I went on to work with builders and homeowners throughout North and South Carolina, proudly designing award-winning homes and kitchens along the way — and genuinely enjoying every project.

 

​Over the years, one thing became very clear: beautiful kitchens don’t happen by accident. They happen when there’s a thoughtful plan, informed decisions, and clear communication before construction ever begins.

 

Too often I saw homeowners feel overwhelmed, rushed, or uncertain — not because they lacked style, but because they lacked guidance during the planning phase. That realization is what led me to coaching.

Today, through my course, community, and podcast, I help homeowners plan and design their kitchens with clarity and confidence — guiding them from conception to completion.

 

This approach allows homeowners to stay in control of their project while benefiting from the perspective of an award-winning designer, without the pressure or cost of full-service, one-on-one design.

While my work has evolved, my passion hasn’t changed. I still believe kitchens are the heart of the home and I love helping homeowners design spaces that truly support the way they live.
