KITCHEN DESIGNER TURNED COACH

Nothing excites me more than focusing my work on coaching homeowners through the kitchen remodel process! 🥂

After more than 25 years in the home furnishings and kitchen design industry, I’ve seen what truly makes a remodel successful — and where things often go wrong.

I initially discovered my passion for residential design after working for reputable NC furnishing and textile manufacturers ie. Henredon Furniture, Clayton Marcus (now Rowe Furniture) and Burlington Industries early on in my career… and rearranging my bedroom furniture often as a child :)

It didn’t take long for me to take the leap and in 2003, I opened my interior design business while working for a custom builder to superintend the construction of a million-dollar home.  This experience gave me invaluable insight into the build process including construction timing, sequencing, and real-world project execution. I fell in love with the smell of saw dust and became hooked on new construction and later renovation projects.

Over the years, one thing became very clear ⎯ beautiful homes didn’t happen by accident. They happened when there was a thoughtful plan, informed decisions, and clear contractor communication way before construction ever began.

Today, through my course, community, and podcast, I help homeowners plan and design their kitchens with clarity and confidence — guiding them from conception to completion.

This approach allows you to stay in control of your project while benefiting from the perspective of an award-winning designer, without the pressure or cost of hiring a designer.

While my work has evolved, my passion hasn’t changed. I believe kitchens are the heart of the home and I love helping everyday homeowners design spaces that truly support the way they live.

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here!
