Hello and happy Friday! Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy todays blogpost featuring the Garden City beach house foyer and bathroom designs with before and after photos!
Let‘s start with the foyer. This is the first thing you see as you enter the raised home built up on pilings. Here is what the foyer looked like pre-furnishing.
The design plan for this space was to include a stylish console table with artwork and lamps. I chose a mirrored console to reflect light in the long hall. A woven sisal runner is on order and will add nice texture here as well! Here is the after photo.
The downstairs powder bath sits just across from the console table pictured above. The vanity is painted a grayish color so I went with a neutral wood finish on the table to break up the finishes. And of course I wanted to make a fun statement in both of the powder baths with wallpaper because the rest of the house is a clean slate of white! Below is the downstairs bathroom during construction.
And here it is after! It‘s tricky to see but the wallpaper is a fun modern black & white Schumacher pattern. I found the antique bird prints at Legacy Antiques in Murrells Inlet. It all turned out amazing mixed in with the white shiplap.
The gold plumbing fixtures are by Brizo, the light is from Build.com and the mirror is from Amazon. Design tip: use a rotating mirror with wall hinges to hang over shiplap or other molding that is high.
The upstairs powder bath is probably one of my all time favorites! The Cole & Sons wallpaper is a home run for the house and the clients who love to fish the SC coast! I can’t find a before photo but here are the fun afters.
I love the round Brizo faucets that have the perfect nautical feel to them.
Lastly, here’s a shot of the rear of the bathroom, no pun intended.
And that’s a wrap for today‘s blogpost. I’d love to hear your thoughts. What do you think of these designs?
