The KBIS Show Floor: Smart Kitchen Finds for 2026

Every year, the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) showcases thousands of new products. From dramatic appliance displays to cutting-edge storage systems, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
This year, as I walked the show floor, I mentally sorted everything into three categories:
Repeats – Solid products, but nothing groundbreaking.
Shockers – Bold colors and dramatic designs, but not practical for most homeowners.
Ohhh… that’s smart innovations – Products that genuinely improve daily function and protect long-term value.
Today, I’m sharing what landed in that third category... ohhh... now that's smart innovations.

Smart Cabinet Storage Solutions
There were so many thoughtful storage solutions. Brands like Hardware Resources and Rev-A-Shelf showcased high-quality wood interior pull-outs, charging drawers, and handy paper towel drawer systems.
I don't consider these flashy upgrades because they truly improve daily workflow and durability.
💡 For homeowners investing $25,000+ in a remodel, interior functionality matters just as much as finishes.
Workstation Sinks & Under-Sink Filtration
💪 Workstation sinks continue to evolve with tiered ledges and built-in prep systems. Strainers, cutting boards, prep surfaces, baskets, all the bells and whistles for effortless food prep in one sink. I think they are here to stay in all shapes and sizes.
💧 Elkay’s compact under-sink water filtration system was especially impressive — small, hidden, and compatible with most faucets. This type of invisible upgrade improves daily life without having to change out your current faucet. They also have a built in wall unit that would be great with a water line hidden in a pantry or bar area.
Countertops: Wireless Charging & Marble Protection
⚡️ FreePower offers wireless charging installed beneath countertops — eliminating visible wires on kitchen islands... gamechanger for aesthetics and function.

Also impressive was AntiEtch, a professional surface treatment that protects natural stone countertops from staining and etching. For marble lovers, this could change the natural stone conversation entirely. Huge 🎤

The Rise of Induction
Luxury induction ranges from brands like Lacanche and Induction Hardware ranged from $8,000 to $20,000+.
🤔 While stunning, they aren’t a reality for most homeowners. The bigger trend? Induction cooking is expanding into every price tier — signaling long-term staying power.
KitchenAid's new Smart Oven+ (plus) won the GOLD 🏆 award for the entire show starting at $4500. This double wall oven comes with interchangeable attachments to enable grilling, stone cooking and steaming. It's smart capabilities connect to wifi with convection heat, baking and broiling options.

Integrated Cabinet Lighting
💡 One of the most noticeable products at KBIS 2026 was integrated cabinet lighting — sensor-lit pantries, drawer lighting, toe-kick lights, and backlit panels.
Beyond aesthetics, this enhances visibility, safety, and aging-in-place functionality.
My Final Thoughts

Kitchen innovation is exciting. But the smartest upgrades are the ones that:
👏🏻 Improve daily function
👏🏻 Protect long-term investment
👏🏻 Add value to your home
