In Home or Video Conference Option

Week 1 Design Meeting

During the initial design meeting we will assess your current interiors and discuss what is and what isn't working for you.  Photos and measurements will be taken capturing the "before" images which are so fun to compare after your dream space is finally complete.  We will review any inspiration pictures or ideas you would like to share and then I will get to work designing a professional floorpan complete with a lighting plan, cabinetry elevations and 3D room views. You will be able to see your new room before construction ever gets started and choose the best option to move forward with.  This meeting usually lasts about 1 hour and it is a good idea to include all decision makers involved ie. your husband.

Week 2 Materials Selections

With design plan in hand and direction from our initial meeting, I will begin carefully selecting materials for your new kitchen, bath or mudroom.  These items can include materials like flooring, paint, wallpaper, cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, tile, lighting, hardware, and mirrors.

Week 3 Samples and Quotes

Samples and quotes will be obtained from suppliers for budgetary and lead-time purposes.  Samples will include actual materials where possible and photos only when necessary.  You are encouraged to visit your local supplier to see all selections in person after the design presentation.

Week 4 Design Presentation

This is it, the exciting moment you have been waiting for!  I will present you with a custom design plan including all of the materials exclusive for your project showcased in 3D renderings. You will receive a project spec binder with all the details you and your contractor will need to get started.  The design presentation usually takes about 1 hour and again it is a good idea to include all decision makers involved.  Also included is an additional 30-minute meeting with your contractor so we are all on the same page regarding your design expectations.  Beyond that I am available to answer questions that may arise during construction at my hourly consultation rate.
